Kelly McQuaid started her dancing career at the age of three. She began training at Michelle Latimer’s Dance Academy in Colorado. There she studied Jazz and Lyrical along with Ballet, Tap and Hip Hop.

In 1998 her family relocated to California and she continued her training at West Coast School of the Arts. Later she attended The Academy of the Performing arts at Huntington Beach High School. At 21 Kelly moved to Dallas and found she could continue her passion of dance at Dallas Power House of Dance. She indulges in her love for dance by traveling to various cities to choreograph and perform. 

Kelly has received awards such as Distinguished Performer at LA Underground, Best in Jazz, Best All Around at APA,  multiple scholarships a various conventions and 1st overall winnings at many competitions. Kelly has had the privilege of being in an Elton John music video, perform at the Apollo in Colorado, The Women's Expo in Dallas and many other shows around the Orange County Area. Recently Kelly has had the great opportunity to perform at the Capezio A.C.E. Awards in New York, in a piece choreographed by her own sister Kristin McQuaid. Last year Kelly received 2 choreography awards for pieces she did for Dallas Performing Company, along with a few entertainment awards. 

Kelly plans to continue performing and teaching to grow and encourage others to live up to their passion and dreams.  We are extremely happy to have Kelly share her talents and passion for dance with our students at Power House!
